A Survey on Privacy Preserving Data Aggregation Protocols forWireless Sensor Networks

    Get PDF
The data aggregation is a widely used mechanism in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) to increase lifetime of a sensor node, send robust information by avoiding redundant data transmission to the base station. The privacy preserving data aggregation is a challenge in wireless communication medium as it could be eavesdropped; however it enhances the security without compromising energy efficiency. Thus the privacy protecting data aggregation protocols aims to prevent the disclosure of individual data though an adversary intercept a link or compromise a node’s data. We present a study of different privacy preserving data aggregation techniques used in WSNs to enhance energy and security based on the types of nodes in the network, topology and encryptions used for data aggregation.</p

    Quality Assessment of Drinking Water

    No full text
A waterborne disease outbreak is an incident in which two or more epidemiologically linked persons experience a similar illness caused by pathogenic microorganisms that are transmitted through contaminated water consumption. In all one of the major concern is detection of Coli forms on drinking water which comprises as a significant hygiene indication. Present study deals with the quality assessment of drinking water including microbiological analysis, sensory evaluation on Sanjo College of Pharmaceutical Studies (SCOPS) and awareness on waterborne disease outbreak and its preventive approach. Bacteriological analysis of water involves direct sample inoculation against microbiological parameters including total plate count, total coliforms, Yeast and mold and a basic sensory evaluation. On laboratory investigations of quality assessment of drinking water, enumerated result was found to be 12 cfu/ml of cool water,3 cfu/ml of normal water and 1 cfu/ml of hot water respectively versus TPC parameter; however, Coliform and yeast mold count were found to be absent/ml for all three samples. Hence the result reveals that microbial counts of drinking water assessment have been fulfilled standard specifications of Indian standard, is an understanding of the perceptions that a higher quality and safe drinking water system maintains on SCOPS. Summarizing this study, influence of safe surroundings of drinking water unit is an emphasizing factor on assurance of drinking water quality

Association of ABO blood groups with the severity of coronary artery disease in southern India population: A prospective cross-sectional study

This study aimed to find an association between ABO blood groups with presence and severity of Coronary artery disease (CAD) among Indian population. 1500 patients undergoing elective coronary angiogram (CAG) at a tertiary care hospital in Karnataka were enrolled in the study. Baseline demographic data and the presence of cardiac comorbidities were documented. Data from baseline echocardiography and angiographic studies were compiled. The incidence of CAD was higher among patients with blood group A. Blood group A also showed a higher incidence of acute coronary syndrome (ACS), left ventricular dysfunction, triple vessel disease, and severe CAD among the patients who underwent CAG
